Massive Journey: Interactive-1.

August 7th, 2009 by Lex

Below is a first stab at taking Massive Journey to the next level. The Flash object is interactive. Click on it or into it, and then use the Arrow Keys to maneuver. Currently, this is just the sketch of a larger idea but already gives a good impression of the possibilities.

Working on a large digital piece, I am starting to run into “happy accidents”, i.e., beautiful random byproducts of layering and collage. These become very striking when combined with some classic brush work. So far, I have tried Braque and Delaunay as backgrounds, in addition to smaller homages to Charles Joseph Minard, Cary Tennis, Saul Williams and David Foster Wallace. Stay tuned for the next update to see those.
