We go with Delaunay to the center of the Eiffel tower, refracted in paint, burnt with light and shadow, cut with escapes to the sky. Sharp lines stand against the soft hues of the blue canvas.

Braque’s amber brushstrokes capture within a deep fantastical structure. Merely cosmic.

Working on a large digital piece, I am starting to run into “happy accidents”, i.e., beautiful random byproducts of layering and collage. These become very striking when combined with some classic brush work. So far, I have tried Braque and Delaunay as backgrounds, in addition to smaller homages to Charles Joseph Minard, Cary Tennis, Saul Williams and David Foster Wallace. Stay tuned for the next update to see those.
