A stark red creates a balanced composition. It’s surprising that large metal plates can look so delicate and elegant.


Despite their tendency to fall on unsuspecting bystanders, cranes are still pretty neat. If we gave them sentience, would they build a city of cranes? Or one giant crane? Or just a beehive of structures. Either way, the satisfying thing about cranes is that their imagery fits their function exactly.
